A densely carved wooden panel framed in simple timber, this relief depicts a verdant, storybook forest filled with entwined branches, animals and human figures. The craftsmanship emphasizes flowing lines and layered depth: monkeys and deer inhabit twisting roots and foliage while dignified human forms in ornate dress are integrated into the scene, suggesting a narrative drawn from myth or folklore. The warm, polished wood and high-relief modeling create a tactile, almost sculptural presence; light and shadow animate the many carved textures and patterns.

Despite the absence of a signature or date, the piece reads as a traditional hand-carved tableau intended for devotional or decorative display, celebrating natural abundance and heroic or sacred figures.
