Bhaskaran - Artwork 13

A reclining cat rendered as a decorative silhouette in stark black against a warm orange field, the body defined by thick, undulating white lines that imply fur patterning and volume. The image is immediately legible and iconographic, the artist using reductive shapes and high-contrast color to create a playful yet refined study in form. The composition’s flatness and rhythmic internal lines give it a decorative, emblematic quality: it feels both like a woodcut and a modern logo, celebrating feline poise through economy of means.

The work’s confident gestures and saturated background make it visually arresting and accessible.
