Bireshwar Bhattacharya - Artwork 159

A luminous frontal image of the Buddha presides over a congregation of simplified figures painted in warm, ritual hues of orange and red. The haloed head and serene visage are central, while the lower registers dissolve into layered silhouettes that suggest communal devotion or awakening. The artist uses color contrasts and flattened planes to emphasize the spiritual presence and collective response, blending iconographic reference with modern painterly abstraction.

The result is contemplative and reverent, evoking ritual and inner stillness.
