Subrata Ganguly - Artwork 165

A small, jewel-like composition where a burnt-ocher ground holds a suspended, darker medallion of ritual figures while white linear silhouettes move along the lower edge. The contrast of the painted vignette and the linear procession suggests mythic storytelling rendered in a contemporary idiom. Delicate detailing within the central medallion and the simplicity of the foreground figures create a dialogue between ancient visual language and modern abstraction.

The piece feels like a distilled parable—quiet, symbolic and visually poetic.
