K. Murlidharan - Artwork 177

A whimsical, brightly coloured watercolour depicting a hybrid creature—part human, part animal—beneath a stylized tree. Playful washes of pink, blue and green and simplified forms lend the composition a childlike, dreamlike quality, while small, spare details animate the scene with narrative suggestion. The loose, fluid brushwork and vibrant palette create an airy, improvisational atmosphere, inviting viewers to invent stories about the figures and their improbable landscape.

The work’s charm lies in its economy of line and joyful use of colour to convey character and mood.
