Rabin Mondal - Artwork 180

A stark, expressive portrait executed in bold black pen on paper showing an austere, bearded face with heavy linear emphasis. The simplicity of the strokes and the directness of the gaze produce an austere, almost ascetic presence, rendered with an economy that foregrounds character over detail. Mounted and framed with a pale mat, the work reads like a study in temperament: sparse, energetic lines carve features with a rough, humanizing honesty.

The dated signature in the lower corner anchors the piece in a specific moment of the artist’s hand and intention.
