A dynamic charcoal drawing of a busy waterfront bridge and moored boats, composed with overlapping verticals and diagonals that convey a dense, bustling atmosphere. Rapid, layered strokes produce smoky reflections and the suggestion of figures on the bridge, while thicker lines define hulls and masts—the whole rendered with an immediacy that captures a moment of activity and movement. The warm-toned paper, creases and worn edges accentuate the spontaneous, working quality of the piece, as if it were a field sketch made on site.

The composition relies on contrast between delicate tonal washes and bold linear marks to evoke depth and the interplay of structures against water.
