Surendra Pal Joshi - Artwork 20

A nocturnal composition that silhouettes organic, mountainous outlines against a densely patterned field of colored squares and vertical bands.

The scene reads like a city seen through darkness, with tiny windows of red, blue and yellow suggesting distant lights and a sense of depth created by overlapping planes. Delicate linear highlights trace forms across the black ground, and the restrained palette, punctuated by bright accents, produces a mysterious, almost cinematic nocturne where suggestion and absence work together to shape meaning.
