A life-sized rhinoceros rendered in a realistic yet slightly stylized manner, this bronze (or bronze-like) sculpture captures the mass and articulated skin folds of the animal with careful attention to form. The textured surface and patina emphasize the leathery quality of the hide while the stance—head slightly raised and tail curved—conveys quiet alertness. Craftsmanship balances anatomical fidelity with sculptural expression: seams of plating-like armor are suggested across the body, lending the creature a timeless, almost monumental presence.

The work reads as both homage to the animal and an exploration of surface and weight in three dimensions.
