Himmat Shah - Artwork 259

A tall vertical bronze head, richly textured with combed marks and irregular accretions, stands on a square plinth; the verdigris patina and rough modeling give the work an archaeological presence as if a relic unearthed from time. The abstracted visage is reduced to strong planar gestures and rugged relief, emphasizing materiality and the artist’s hand. Viewed head-on the piece reads as a meditative totem, the layered surfaces suggesting both erosion and careful articulation, and the greenish oxidation heightens its sense of age and endurance.

The sculpture balances figuration and abstraction, inviting reflection on identity through fragmentary, tactile form.
