M.G. Kidwai - Artwork 263

An elongated, smooth black form suggestive of a thumb or stylized finger rises from a broad base, its simplified anatomy and gently worn highlights imparting a sense of tactile familiarity. The polished, rounded surfaces reveal subtle signs of abrasion and patina that enhance the object’s sensuous, almost anthropomorphic character. The sculpture’s spare, iconic silhouette invites associations with touch and human scale while remaining deliberately ambiguous, allowing viewers to project meaning onto its minimal, monolithic shape.

Its quiet presence and restrained finish make it a contemplative object that explores form through reduction.
