A vertical, gold-leaf–coated column punctuated by a stack of silver skulls supports an arching, jewel-encrusted ring; a smaller leaping bovine form crowns the composition. The theatrical combination of gilt surfaces, chrome details and sparkling embellishment yields a baroque, icon-like presence. This hybrid sculpture mixes pop-cultural symbols and precious finishes to produce a provocative emblem of excess and folly.
