A monumental vintage microphone dominates the centre, suspended against an intricate field of countless tiny human silhouettes arranged in dense horizontal bands. Around it, isolated motifs punctuate the crowd: smoking factories, a red vehicle, horses, an ornamented elephant, fragments of signage, and an anatomical heart sprouting branching red forms. The restrained grey, black, and metallic palette is sharply interrupted by flashes of red and yellow.
Scale is deliberately destabilised, making the microphone appear architectural while individuals dissolve into pattern. The composition feels simultaneously crowded and eerily impersonal, combining meticulous repetition with unexpected symbolic objects to evoke communication, mass society, industry, movement, and bodily vitality.
