Anil Sharma - Artwork 294

A loose, atmospheric watercolour depicts an urban scene: a multi-storey building perched above a leafy, riverine foreground with small figures strolling. The artist uses diluted washes, spontaneous ink marks and negative space to suggest foliage, sky and architectural volume. The work’s freshness derives from its economy of means — gestural strokes and subtle tonal shifts convey weather and movement with immediacy.

This sketchlike approach evokes the transient qualities of city life and the shifting moods of landscape.
