Dutta - Artwork 346

A surreal, biomorphic head and vertebral suggestion emerge from warm, earthy color fields in this framed canvas attributed to Dutta. Layered glazes and textured strokes build a dreamlike profile and repeated bone-like forms that float against luminous yellow and ochre backgrounds, suggesting metamorphosis or memory. The handling is painterly and tactile: scumbled passages, stippled highlights, and soft-edged silhouettes produce a sense of depth and eerie calm.

The composition is contemplative and enigmatic, inviting viewers to explore the boundary between figure and abstraction in a quietly unsettling register.
