M. Du Plassey - Artwork 371

A broad, horizontal composition rendered in delicate washes and soft edges, this work places an exuberant cluster of white blossoms against a misty, muted background. The petals are suggested with minimal strokes and pooled pigment, allowing negative space and subtle color bleeds to define form while a low, dark vessel anchors the arrangement. The overall effect is airy and intimate: restrained chromatic choices and the fluidity of the medium create a quiet, contemplative mood.

Small details — the yellow centers, the frayed paper edges and the artist’s signature tucked into the margin — lend a personal, hand-made presence to the elegant floral study.
