Geeta Das - Artwork 46

A serene female figure emerges from a warm, luminous field of yellow, orange and green foliage, her downcast face and soft contours suggesting introspection and calm.

The painting uses layered, painterly strokes that blur the boundaries between figure and environment, producing an atmosphere of late-afternoon glow. Rich tonal shifts and organic shapes create a dreamlike, meditative composition where the figure seems to grow from the surrounding leaves; the overall effect is poetic and quietly evocative, inviting prolonged visual contemplation.
