Arpana Caur - Artwork 491

A delicate, pencil-and-pastel composition that juxtaposes a gaunt, meditative figure with schematic planetary diagrams and a sinuous ribbon of electric blue.

The drawing blends diagrammatic Sanskrit labels and astrological circles with an economy of line, producing a quiet tension between spiritual mapping and bodily presence. The lower edge is animated by a gestural blue wave that seems to anchor the figure while suggesting an unseen current; the restrained palette and fine hatchwork evoke a contemplative mapping of cosmology and the human form, intimate and precise in its handling.
