Seema Kohli - Artwork 500

A jewel-like composition rendered in minute linework and saturated pigments, this work pairs an intricate central figure with a celestial, ornamental surround. The canvas reads like a tapestry of symbols — lotus petals, concentric circles and twin silhouettes rendered in opposing palettes — that fold inward toward a vertical gilded axis, lending the piece a meditative symmetry. The borders and background teem with micro-patterns and tiny animated motifs: playful elephants, swirling clouds and constellations that contrast with the serene, seated figures.

The richly textured surface and employed iconography suggest a contemporary reworking of mythic themes, where meticulous decoration and chromatic contrasts create both visual delight and quiet introspection.
