Sachindranath Jha - Artwork 521

A long horizontal composition awash in vivid pinks and reds, this work layers gestural brushstrokes with a repeated, linear face motif rendered in bold black outline. Playful dotted ornament across the brow and tiny paper-boat shapes drifting through the scene give the piece a rhythmic, celebratory energy while the translucent washes and scraped surfaces reveal the painterly process beneath. Viewed as a procession of faces, the painting balances spontaneity with pattern: repeated eyes and profiles create a human chorus against an energetic abstract ground.

The contrast between saturated color and graphic black line produces both movement and a sense of ritual — an evocative, modern meditation on identity and community.
