Himmat Shah - Artwork 595

A compact bronze form carved with rough, vertical facets and capped by clustered nodules; its dark patina carries greenish oxidation in the recesses, suggesting age and exposure. The piece reads as an abstracted geological mound or a fragment of a weathered totem, its surfaces scored with intentional tool marks that give rhythm and a tactile ruggedness to the silhouette. Viewed close, the object reveals an artist’s hand in the subtle modulation of planes and the deliberate application of texture, where pockets of verdigris accentuate creases and seams.

The grounding base and inward folds create a quiet monumentality — modest in scale but resolved in presence — that invites touch and contemplation of material transformation.
