Jatin Das - Artwork 610

A tall framed composition of two embracing figures rendered in flattened planes of muted pinks, blacks and greys, the central silhouette defined by a vertical white ribbon that divides and unifies the pair.

The artist simplifies anatomy into elegant, interlocking shapes and outlines, using negative space and a spare palette to heighten the emotional intimacy of the scene. Presented within a deep wood frame and mat, the piece reads as a considered study of form and relationship: the stylized bodies and restrained brushwork suggest movement stopped in a private instant, while the graphic contours and selective highlights lend the work a lyrical, almost theatrical presence.
