Jatin Das - Artwork 613

A warm, sensuous portrait of a reclining female rendered in broad, confident brushstrokes and a limited, earthy palette.

The artist balances flowing lines of hair and drapery with areas of flat, glowing color to create a composition that feels both intimate and monumental. The painting’s economy of line and the suggestion of form rather than strict realism give it an expressive immediacy: the subject’s closed eyes and gentle gesture evoke a quiet, reflective moment while the vibrant accents of red and turquoise animate the surface with unexpected energy.
