Muskan - Artwork 632

A contemplative contemporary painting centering on a weathered tree stump that rises like a sculptural relic from a mottled, atmospheric ground. Pink roses and green sprigs weave through the roots while a delicate blue butterfly rests near the top, set against a variegated wash of blues, grays and rust tones punctuated by expressive splatters and stains. The artist juxtaposes finely modeled natural forms with loose, abstract washes to create a melancholic yet resilient mood: the stump’s carved textures and organic details feel tactile and aged, while the surrounding chromatic sky and splattered foreground suggest memory, time and the persistence of life.

Signature and date in the corner anchor it as a recent work, blending representational sensitivity with painterly improvisation.
