Manu Parekh - Artwork 698

A playful, brightly hued depiction of an elephant-headed figure rendered in flat, decorative color and outlined with energetic, sketch-like strokes. The composition balances a sunlit yellow head and curling tusks against pink and red forms, punctuated by a stylized red heart and dotted decorative borders that give the work a festive, talismanic quality. Painted with an economy of line and a bold, almost childlike palette, the work marries folk motifs to a modern sensibility.

The patterned green frame and speckled background further emphasize the handcrafted, celebratory character of the piece, inviting a viewing that is both intimate and emblematic.
