Shipra Bhattacharya - Artwork 71

A dreamlike double-portrait where two elongated heads emerge from a suggestive, painterly ground of green and blue, their solemn expressions and softened features lending the work a mythic intimacy. Delicate plant forms and pale highlights around the figures create a sense of organic growth, as if the faces themselves are sprouting from the picture plane. The piece blends pastel tonality with subtle layering, producing a hushed, introspective atmosphere that feels both personal and archetypal.

Its gentle surrealism and refined handling of light invite contemplation of identity, nurture, and quiet transformation.
