A lively, narrative scene painted in the flat, decorative vocabulary of Indian folk painting: two stylized figures beneath an arching tree, surrounded by repetitive leaf and floral motifs. Bold black outlines contain bright, patterned fills of pink, yellow, green and orange, and a decorative border frames the entire composition in a highly ornamental register. The image celebrates storytelling through pattern and color, with figures rendered in profile, large expressive eyes and richly detailed costumes.

The pictorial space is shallow and patterned, emphasizing symbolic presence and communal ritual over naturalistic depth, and the whole composition exudes a playful, ritual warmth.
