Suhas Roy - Artwork 731

A high-contrast black etching or intaglio print sits within a generous white mat, the central rectangle filled with dense, frenetic marks that coalesce into an abstract, shadowy mass. The image reads as an energetic study of texture and negative space, where vigorous hatching and scraping create a vibrating, almost three-dimensional surface. The signed and numbered margins suggest this is a limited edition print; the stark interplay of black and white gives the work a graphic immediacy while the restless mark-making evokes movement and psychological intensity.

The overall effect is of a modern print concerned with process and tonal drama rather than representational clarity.
