Suhas Roy - Artwork 735

This vertical, narrow print depicts a stylized human-like figure rendered in dark embossing against a golden-brown rectangular field, framed by wide white matting. The surface shows textured, almost metallic effects and etched linear details that define the face and ribbed torso, producing a primitive yet modern iconography that resonates like an amulet or panel relief. The piece is signed and numbered in pencil beneath the image, and its compact, columnar format concentrates attention on the figure’s attenuated form and tactile surface.

The work combines a restrained palette with a richly worked matrix, creating a contemplative object where materiality and simplified anatomy speak with equal weight.
