Rajat Ghosh - Artwork 747

A monochrome composition of ink wash, scribbled pen strokes and gestural contours that suggest a loosely anthropomorphic form. The work emphasizes rhythm and movement: repeated hatched lines, smeared washes and looping outlines convey a restless, improvisatory energy while retaining a delicate tonal balance between blacks and greys. Presented within a light mat and frame, the piece feels intimate and immediate, like a field sketch transformed into a finished study.

Its economy of means—sparing use of line, layered washes and deliberate erasures—creates an eloquent tension between control and spontaneity.
