This work combines printed paper, gestural ink scribbles and areas of wash to form a layered, textural collage that reads like a palimpsest of images and marks. Fragments of printed text and photographic imagery peek through broad, aggressive cross-hatching and washes of colour, producing tensions between legible fragments and obscured content. The piece feels like a deliberate excavation of surface: the artist’s energetic pen strokes both reveal and erase, while muted stains and stains of colour bind disparate elements into a cohesive field.

The overall effect is poetic and slightly enigmatic, inviting the viewer to trace narratives in the interplay of media and the rhythm of repeated marks.
