A vivid study in contrast, this canvas layers a dense, orange-speckled background with loose black architectural linework and two vividly rendered blue peacocks in the foreground. The composition uses gestural ink-like marks to suggest a crowded skyline while the peacocks — painted with careful patterning and bright highlights — become an emblematic focal point that animates the scene. The work balances raw urban energy and decorative detail: splattered pigments and rhythmic dots create a heated atmosphere, while the graphic silhouettes of domes and towers, drawn in an economy of strokes, provide a sense of place.

The resulting tension between expressive mark-making and measured figurative elements gives the painting a lively, narrative quality that rewards close inspection.
