Rajat Ghosh - Artwork 831

A striking monochrome drawing dominated by vigorous, layered ink strokes that form a dense, almost anthropoid head set against a flurry of hatched marks. Heavy washes create deep tonal masses while energetic pen lines describe textured fur and an intense, staring eye, producing an image that is at once animal and allegorical. The piece is emphatic and gestural, favoring emotional impact over precise realism: the juxtaposition of dark saturated areas with rapid linear marks lends a tense, kinetic quality.

The worn paper and visible framing emphasize its status as a studied, finished sketch that evokes both unease and curiosity.
