A compact, tactile assemblage of rough clay rises from its base like an organic topography: sinuous folds, hollowed cavities and bulbous appendages coalesce into an abstract mass that suggests motion arrested in earthen form. The surface retains the maker’s fingerprints and tool marks, the warm terracotta color emphasizing a raw, immediate handcraft that invites touch and close inspection. Viewed as a whole the piece reads like a small natural ruin or an imagined coral of hands and faces; ambiguous apertures and protrusions create shifting focal points so the viewer discovers new details with each glance.

The work’s energy comes from its layered construction and the tension between deliberate shaping and accidental texture, producing a quietly expressive object that feels both ancient and freshly realized.
