A tall, narrow clay column is richly incised with rhythmic horizontal striations and punctuated circular impressions, producing a tactile, almost geological surface.
The clay’s torn edges and layered ridges create a sense of erosion and accretion, as though time itself has inscribed the object with marks and hollows. The verticality, scoring and deliberate ruptures give the work a totemic presence: it reads like an abstracted relic or marker, simultaneously architectural and organic, inviting the viewer to trace its carved patterns and imagine the hands that shaped each groove.
