A close-up of a textured, reddish-brown form suggests a hand-shaped clay object whose surface is marked by deliberate, reptilian ridges. The warm terracotta tone and dense, carved patterning give the piece a tactile presence that invites the viewer to imagine the artist's tools and gestures that produced the layered, scale-like surface. Seen against a bright, neutral background, the work reads as an abstracted organic mass—part seedpod, part fossil—whose rounded top and gently tapering base create a quiet, monumental dignity.

The overall simplicity of form contrasted with intricate surface work creates a contemplative object that balances raw earthiness with crafted detail.
