A vertical mixed-media work built on a cylindrical red-brick patterned base, rising into a carved plinth and a tall iron cage that contains a long, narrow red element reminiscent of a canoe or shard. The metal grid extends upward with sinuous wire ends, while the painted wood and metal components combine to create a totemic, allegorical column. The composition juxtaposes industrial geometry and hand-carved motifs: the brick drum, the carved pedestal with stair-like patterns, and the caged red form suggest themes of confinement, ascent and human craft.

Rendered with bright color contrasts and a slender, upward thrust, the piece reads as a contemporary sculpture with narrative and symbolic intent.
