A tall, tapered vessel with a rough, earthen surface, this work resembles a hand-formed ceramic amphora whose exterior is encrusted with layered slips and mineral textures. The muted palette of ochres, creams and soft grays emphasizes the surface’s stratified marks and small inclusions, suggesting traditional pottery techniques married to a contemporary rough finish. The elongated silhouette narrows to a modest base and opens at a subtly scalloped rim, the whole reading as a quiet study in materiality and form.
Despite its simplicity, the vase conveys a strong sense of antiquity and tactility, offering a contemplative presence that bridges craft and sculptural minimalism.
