A dark, braided head-like form composed of overlapping, ribbon-like elements twists upward, its matte black surface interspersed with small areas of exposed substrate and patina. The sculptural treatment of the “hair” or braided mass emphasizes movement and compression, creating facial suggestions without literal depiction. The work balances playful deformation with a weighty presence: folds and seams trace a path of tension and relief while the monochrome finish lends a somber, monolithic quality.

It reads as a contemporary, abstracted portrait—an exploration of identity rendered through volume, texture and the interplay of concealment and revelation.
