THE ARTIST
Biography
Sanjay Kumar was born in 1964 in Sahibganj, then in Bihar and now in Jharkhand. He trained in painting at the College of Arts and Crafts, Patna University, and is known as a multidisciplinary poet, painter and sculptor.
His practice has centered increasingly on sculpture in the past decade, alongside portraits, abstract compositions, meditative themes, Buddha imagery, and reflections on human nature and social harmony.
